Think of this: Coronavirus is just a small taste of what we are going to experience in the near future. The Coronavirus pandemic is a serious health concern and causing widespread fear among Christians.

But don’t fear and continue to abide in Christ. God never fails He is faithful and true to His promise, continue to seek His face as He will never leave us nor forsakes us. Claim it!

Although the word coronavirus is not exactly mentioned in the Bible, there are exactly prophetic passages and messages that can be linked to the pandemic and one common passage is found in the book of Matthew 24:7.

“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.”

All these are the beginnings of sorrows.

The passage is attributed to Jesus Christ who told his followers what to expect before his second coming.

The same teaching of Jesus that can be found in the book of Luke 21:10-12.

“Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences;

and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.”

In the book of 2 Chronicles 7:13 Also gives us warning “If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;”

As Christians, we should not worry but pray and seek His face instead.

As what God said in the book of 2 Chronicles 7:14.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;

then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

So why worry? Let your faith be bigger than your fears.

God’s promises is more than enough for us to face the uncertain future and remember what He said in Philippians 4:6.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.“

Trust God! This Coronavirus (COVID-19) will pass away but the word of God will not pass away.
