Does suffering surprise you? Does it ring a bell? Why do you suffer?
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
1 Peter 4:14-16 KJV
Sufferings, pains, and difficulties may be part of God’s purpose for your life. Don’t be overwhelmed when these situations arise. Worth suffering for God’s sake than men’s sake.
If you suffer for Christ’s sake, be happy and be blessed as He is with you all the way. God will send His Holy Spirit to strengthen you.
Never be ashamed to suffer for Christ’s sake. Don’t seek out suffering and don’t try to avoid it. Instead, keep doing it for His glory whether it brings suffering or not. Don’t be surprised, God has a purpose.
Trust His heart, Trust His plan.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV
Don’t try to do it on your own or to your ability as it may lead you to go astray.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Proverbs 3:6 KJV
Don’t trust men’s way.
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 16:25 KJV
Why suffer? Does it ring a bell?
