But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19 KJV
We can trust that God can provide for our needs. But there is a difference between needs for human desires and needs for heavenly desires to glorify our Father in Heaven which gives us His grace.
Most people would claim this promise that God will provide whatever they need without understanding the will of God in their life (Philippians 4:1-3).
This passage was written to Brethrens, servants of God and whose names are written in the book of life. If you truly accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior, in other words, genuine Christian, you can claim this promise.
As Christians, we need to align ourselves according to the will of God as Philippians 4:19 says that God will supply our needs “according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”. We may expect a different outcome but trust that God allows things to happen for a purpose.
As we contend for our Faith, we may face a lot of trials, challenges, sufferings, and difficulties but God promised that He will supply our needs. Through His abundant grace, He will give us the strength that we need (Philippians 4:13) to contend for our Faith, and as we share His gospel with others.
