At times of crisis we often get frustrated and always find reason to blame someone. Like what is happening to us right now at this time of pandemic, people are becoming frustrated and trying to blame our leaders, our governments because of what is happening right now.
Like what happened to the Israelites before, they are frustrated an keep on blaming Moses but Moses told them to stand still. Same with us in our current situation, Moses also telling us to stand still.
We often forget whom we are serving. We are serving a might living God, a powerful God.
Read: Exodus 14:10-14
10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.
11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
What should be our proper response in this situation?
When trouble approaches – Stand still
Troubles, chaos or hunger may seem to intimidate us, slow us down and loosen us. All we need to do is to stand still, look up high and see the salvation of the Lord.
When fears appear – Stand still
Human as we are we normally feel afraid. We don’t know what to do because of this fear. But don’t let our fear drive us away our faith in God and the bible is telling to fear not and stand still as there is always an answer to that fear.
We don’t know when this situation may end but fear not and stand still. We don’t know the plan of God but for sure it is for the glory of His name.
When doubts arise – Stand still
Some of us are facing a very difficult situations in life such as lost of loved ones, financial difficulties, emotional struggles, spiritual battles and other unimaginable circumstances that some of us begun to doubt the Lord.
Just hold on with our faith, stand still. There is always a light ahead of the tunnel.
When enemies attack – Stand still
Troubles and trials are always ahead of us, God knows. We will never know what will happen to us while we are on our way trying to endure life. The Lord has always a good plan for His children.
God is the conductor. He has plan to bring Him glory. Stand still and walk the salvation of the Lord – look up. Let the peace rule over our heart. We may face an unbeatable odds but we can overcome them by simply standing still.
We have nothing to do with this situation. God will protect His people, His presence is always with his people, provide the needs of His people and His eyes is always be with his people.
Do not be afraid, Look up and stand still!
