Forever

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

1 Peter 1:24-25
1 Peter 1:24-25

This verse reminds believers that everything in this life—possessions, accomplishments, people—will eventually fade away and disappear. Only God’s will, word, and work are permanent. We must stop grasping the temporary and begin focusing our time, money, and energy on the permanent: the Word of God and our eternal life in Christ.

Our here on earth is not only short but it is also full of unexpected and uncertainties. Jesus Christ is truly our only guaranteed hope who will give us an expected end, eternal life in heaven.

Praying that everyone of us will soon realize that our life is just brief. Like a flower that blooms and then a short while later it withers. There is no “forever” here on earth but only the word of God will last forever.

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Matthew 24:35

Knowing these facts, what are you doing with your short remaining time that God had allowed you to live? Do you know that there is a better life waiting for you in heaven or extremely bad life in hell?

All is vanity, as the grass withers and is just for a little while, so is life.

The good news is the fact the regardless of whatever time remaining we have, for whosoever believe and put their faith in Jesus Christ will be saved and will have eternal life in heaven. And it is by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ through faith we will be saved.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:13

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

The painful in human life is not dying and leading what you have but dying without Jesus Christ. While you still have time, accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Savior and walk with Him.
