“Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.” – Proverbs 10:2
Most individuals impose sadness on themselves by chasing quick money and ill-gotten goods. Craving instant satisfaction, for example, might ruin their prospects of ever finding real happiness. God’s rules for a righteous living offer enduring satisfaction since they direct us towards long-term spiritually healthy behavior.
Proverbs 10:2 is very clear and straightforward that we profit nothing from the treasures of wickedness and that we should choose righteousness, basically God’s will over our own will.
We may be suffering right now due to our pleasure to satisfy our wants but if we choose to follow God’s will to control our lives is the best thing to do as a follower and actually, it is our job to follow God’s will.
Remember also:
The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked. He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
