📖 Philippians 2:13 (KJV) “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
Many people think that to please God, they must do more, try harder, or prove their worth. But the Christian life isn’t about working alone for God, it’s about working with God.
We don’t labor to earn salvation; Jesus already finished that work at the cross. Instead, we are called to “work out” what God has “worked in.”
📖 Philippians 2:12–13 (KJV) “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
To “work with God” means to let His purpose flow through our actions and attitudes, to live surrendered, not self-sufficient. When we stop striving and start cooperating with His Spirit, His power begins to shape our lives from the inside out.
Let’s look at three ways God invites us to work with Him:
1️⃣ In our Manifestations — how we live and testify.
2️⃣ In our Miseries — how we respond to hardship.
3️⃣ In our Mission — how we serve and reach others.
🌿 WORK WITH GOD IN YOUR MANIFESTATIONS
If we truly belong to Christ, it should be visible in how we live. Our testimony is not in what we claim to believe, but in how we act when no one is watching.
📖 James 1:22 (KJV) “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
God doesn’t need religious performance; He desires authentic obedience. He doesn’t want our lips to say “Lord” while our lives say otherwise.
📖 Matthew 23:3 (KJV) “For they say, and do not.”
Working with God means allowing His truth to transform our behavior, not just our beliefs. It means forgiving when it’s hard, loving when it’s inconvenient, and serving when it costs something.
📖 Philippians 2:13 (KJV) “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
When we manifest Christ through our actions, people see more than us, they see the God who works through us.
💔 WORK WITH GOD IN YOUR MISERIES
Every believer faces seasons of struggle: pain, failure, rejection, or loss. But God doesn’t waste our tears. He uses them to teach, strengthen, and draw us closer to Him.
📖 James 1:2–4 (KJV) “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”
When life hurts, don’t withdraw, work with God through it. Let His grace refine you instead of letting bitterness define you.
📖 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV) “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Even when it comes to forgiveness, remember the example of Christ:
📖 Luke 23:34 (KJV) “Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.”
Forgiveness is not about approving wrong, but about trusting God to handle what we can’t. When you forgive, you work with God’s grace and you stop giving Satan ground in your heart.
Your misery can either be a mirror of pain or a message of grace. Let it be the latter.
🌍 WORK WITH GOD IN YOUR MISSION
Every believer has a divine purpose. We are not saved to sit, but to serve, we have a mission.
📖 Luke 19:10 (KJV) “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
That was Jesus’ mission and it’s ours too.
📖 Matthew 9:36 (KJV) “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion…”
When you serve with compassion, you carry God’s heart into a hurting world. When you serve without it, you’re just performing.
📖 2 Timothy 4:2 (KJV) “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season…”
The mission continues even when it’s hard. Whether in comfort or conflict, the message remains the same — Jesus saves.
📖 Acts 5:38–39 (KJV) “For if this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it.”
The mission is not about our ability, but about our availability. When you start with God, He will finish through you.
✝️ CALL TO BELIEVERS
Christian, God is not asking you to reinvent the wheel to please Him. He’s not impressed by new methods or human efforts that leave Him out. He simply wants you to walk with Him.
If you’ve been weary or frustrated in serving, remember the work is not yours alone. When you try to do ministry without God, you end up exhausted. But when you work with God, you find joy even in the struggle.
📖 John 15:5 (KJV) “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
Stop trying to earn God’s approval; you already have His love. He’s not calling you to prove yourself, He’s calling you to partner with Him.
🔥 So, don’t reinvent the wheel to please God. Just let Him steer it. Let Him lead you in your manifestations, sustain you in your miseries, and empower you in your mission.
Pray, “Lord, make me a vessel through whom Your will can be done.”
❤️ CALL TO THE UNSAVED
Friend, before you can work with God, you must first be made right with God. No amount of good works can replace a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
📖 Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
You don’t need to reinvent the wheel to reach heaven because Jesus already rolled the stone away. He did the work you never could.
📖 John 3:16 (KJV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
📖 John 14:6 (KJV) “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Come to Christ, not with religion, but with repentance. He is not looking for perfection, but surrender. He doesn’t want your work; He wants your heart. Let today be the day you stop running and start walking with Him. (Read more: ABC OF SALVATION).
📖 Philippians 1:6 (KJV) “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
🕊️ REFLECTION PRAYER
“Lord, thank You for doing the work I could never do. Teach me to walk with You, not ahead or apart from You. In my life, in my trials, and in my mission, help me stop reinventing ways to please You and simply obey Your Word. Work in me and through me, for Your good pleasure. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
